does the issue occurs on an external display? It seems to be a gtk on macos related issue - see: https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/issues/14278

Yes, this is happening only on an external display. Does this mean I should use darktable on my native screen?
maybe shift the window back to the internal display, maximise it and then back to the external. There are some gtk related issues, that occasionally occurs (e.g. preferences window i opened with limited height on external display). gtk isn't macs best friend - maybe once gtk4 will be better ;)
