More slight tweaks hoped for than anything. Love the program now that I finally switched over to it. I'm using a 2560x1440 resolution screen, which might affect any spacing indication mentioned below.

CLIPPING INDICATOR: I'm often annoyed when I realize that the I blew out the image because I forgot to turn on the clipping indicator. Would be great if it's status were persistent.

CROPPING TOOL: Excellently done! Would love to get rid of the image size indication that appears center screen while I'm using it.

TONE CURVE: Always difficult to grab the bottom point without triggering the "interpolation method" control. A little more space between that control and the bottom of the curve would be helpful.

UNDO BEHAVIOR: If I'm tweaking settings within a module (Retouch and Tone Control among others) and mess it up, using undo (via control-z) undoes the change but also closes the module. Would be more helpful if it only affected the last adjustment instead of the whole module while it is expanded.

Thanks again for all the work that goes into this great program. I'm not missing LR (v 6.1) at all!

First it is better to have a single point discussed in an issue.

CLIPPING INDICATOR: I'm often annoyed when I realize that the I blew out the image because I forgot to turn on the clipping indicator. Would be great if it's status were persistent.

Noted.

I cannot confirm this. Maybe you have a specific scenario.

If you make it persistent, then you're going to get the people that don't want it.

You could do this with a Lua script and each time you load an image in darkroom it ensures that the clipping indicator is active. This way the people that want it can have it and it's not "forced" on the people that don't want it and it's not another preference.

Well, keeping button state is what we do in darktable at the moment for some but not all. Being consistent here seems a good goal. No?

Yes, but consider the number of bug reports and help requests generated by new(ish) users who accidentally turn on a feature or hide a control and can't figure out how to restore things....

Cropping tool: I'll need to check the code, but I imagine there's a CSS selector that could be used to hide the size indicator.

Thanks. I will try that - haven't yet learned to use scripting. Also, sorry about lumping everything into one post. Had been making that list over the past month or so.

Cropping tool numbers not a deal breaker. Just don't need them and find them distracting. since I crop by eye and without grids.
