Describe the bug

Trying to run latest (appimage and .deb) both types fail with the above message.

Steps to reproduce

darktable-cli some-file.dng target.png or darktable-cli identify some-file.dng

Expected behavior

not crash

Do you still have the problem with 5.2.0? Your report is for a version which is now three major releases behind development.

The original report sounds like a version mismatch with libgobject.
