Zoomable lighttable crash when making thumbnails larger - v. 4.6.0

Describe the bug

I just stumbled upon a crash in zoomable lighttable in darktable 4.6.0.

I can reproduce it at will doing the following - with 2 photos in the lighttable.

I have created a couple of screen shots to illustrate the issue, and captuted the console output from darktable. The 2 attached files are licensed under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal license

I have compiled DT 4.6.0 myself in this way

Steps to reproduce

Step 1: Zoome the thumbnails to a small size, in the example I set the “row length” to 20.

Step 2: Move the 2 thumbnails to upper left corner, so the left one is not visible

Step 3: Reduce the “row length” using the mouse wheel (so the thumbnails get bigger), and kaboom!

Expected behavior

Darktable should make the thumbnails bigger and let me drag them around

Confirmed with DT 4.6.0 in Windows 11 and with master in Ubuntu 22.04
