add a artisanal cmdk as shorcut of debug/orchestra

Open bigdogs-dev opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Hello! How are you? I really liked the debug idea that you implemented, but I was getting tired of having to go to the /debug/orchestra path every time I wanted to activate debug mode.

So, I built a small modal that is rendered inside the Debug component and can be triggered with a cmd + k (ctrl + k on Windows) shortcut. It closes with the same combination or with the Escape key.

I'm sharing it with you in case you are as tired of changing routes as I am :P

@rperrote is attempting to deploy a commit to the darkroom Team on Vercel.

A member of the Team first needs to authorize it.

True. But the only real use of cmd + k is in Firefox to focus the search bar. Plus, I’m replying to this from Gmail, and they override ctrl + k to create a link.

Anyway, it could be something that only shows up in the development environment.

That a great idea however erasing browser's default cmd+k behvior might not be optimal.

a new simple shortcut menu to the debug tools has been added in the latest changes to satus by pressing cmd + o. thank you for bringing this idea up and creating the pull request.
