Playback Design suggestions / issues

hi it's me again ! Sorry to bother you !

I just have some other suggestions to make about the playback feature !

• pause icon I find it a little disturbing to have a square icon to symbolize the "pause" action. normally the square icon is used to "stop" the video, meaning play it from the beginning. since you already have this feature, I suggest you simply replace this square icon by the more common "2 bars icon" symbolizing "pause".

• J,K,L in other editing software, and in quicktime 7, J is shortcut for playing backward, L forward. it is the case here, but another handy feature is to press L or J multiple times to increase the speed of playback, instead of pausing it, like it actually does. K is normally used to pause.

• reverse playback speed by the way, the reverse playback seems a little buggy for now, it plays forward frames randomly, and changes the speed of playback to be faster...

Hi, and sorry for the delay! The icon change sounds reasonable.

For the speed changes, I assume you can only increase the speed by pressing "J" and "K" multiple times? Then when you press pause/stop the speed reverts to normal?

Reverse playback is a bit broken right now, I'm rewriting the playback engine for the next version which should improve it quite a bit.
