Java Version Mismatch between Core SDK & Spring Modules
The Java SDK project has a configuration inconsistency where the core modules use Java 11, but the Spring modules were configured to use Spring Framework 6.1.21 and Spring Boot 3.2.6, and now we are at 6.2.7 && 3.4.6 which require Java 17+.
Core SDK modules (sdk, sdk-workflows, etc.) are configured for Java 11 Spring modules are using Spring Framework 6.2.7 and Spring Boot 3.4.6, which require Java 17+ This creates a compilation error when trying to build the entire project
See the core sdk config in the pom.xml here See the spring parent pom that has java 11, but incompatible deps

@salaboy can you take a look at this one since you just recently changed those versions?
I've reviewed the configuration, and the issue is due to a mismatch between Java versions across modules.
The core SDK modules (like sdk and sdk-workflows) are still using Java 11, while the Spring Boot modules have been upgraded to Spring Framework 6.2.7 and Spring Boot 3.4.6 — both of which require Java 17+.
Because the parent POM or default compiler version is set to Java 11, it results in compilation errors when trying to build the entire project.
To fix this:
We either need to upgrade the Java version used by the core modules to 17+
Or set up different build profiles, which can be complex and harder to maintain
I’d suggest aligning the whole project to Java 17+, update the maven.compiler.source and target in the parent POM, and test the build.

@humblefool25 i think on the core , plain Java modules we want to keep the source compatible with 11. spring boot 3.x needs 17. If you use the sdkman provided configuration it works as expected with 17, but still checking Java 11 compatibility for core modules.
That makes sense. Just to clarify, Are you checking Java 11 or Java 17 compatibility for the core modules?
