UX Improvements in the DAppStore - New Naming Convention for Updated Dapps

Open JHGrove3 opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

The DAppStore uses the buttons "Get" and "Update" and "Updated" to show the current status of each Dapp.

"Get" works fine. "Update" works okay. "Updated" is confusing.

When an app is "Updated", it isn't clear whether: A. The developers have "Updated" their app, meaning it's time to download the new version or B. The user has downloaded the latest version, so their copy has already been "Updated" to the latest version.

Describe the solution you'd like

I would suggest changing the word "Updated" to "Installed" to make it clear that no action is currently needed for that app.

Additionally, I would change "Update" to "Get Update", since you are asking the user to click the button in order to take the action. That will make it more similar to the "Get" button the users clicks when first downloading new Dapps.

Lastly, I would review the colors of the buttons. The color difference between the current "Updated" and "Update" buttons is subtle, and should be more obvious. Maybe make the "Get Update" button yellow, for higher visibility.
