Bug: un-synced toggles

Noticed 2 issues related to toggles:

steps:

1. write text.
2. turn on bold
3. write text.
4. delete all text.
5. Start typing. Bug: bold still seems turned on , and if you start typing now, it will get turned off.
6. start again: do 1-3. And now delete only till you reach non-bold text. Notice that the bold is still turned on . Start typing. Bug: text is not bold, even though the bold toggle is turned on.
