Not detecting elite dangerous
I am running the program with my Oculus Rift S. When starting the program then starting elite dangerous it is telling me it does not detect key bindings nor does it detect elite dangerous. I would love to be able to use this overlay.
Screenshots of the desktop view would be useful. As well as information about your setup.
I am running an Evga Geforce 1070ti, 16gb DDR 4 ram, umm I am not quite sure what other information you might need I am sorry.
Did I provide you with sufficient information?
Have you followed the Oculus Workaround instructions? (i.e. setting the Elite Dangerous executable to Windows 7 compatibility mode)
The only previous reporter of this issue with the issue of "App:" being blank that fixed it I can find had this issue because they never finished doing that.
Other useful information would be what store you installed ED from and where it's located.
Ok, so that is fixed now but it now says Elite Dangerous not focused.
Try alt tabbing out of the game then refocusing it. There may be a hard to debug temporary edge case where the focus detection doesn't detect right.
So that ended up fixing itself, thank you. I am currently having difficulty figuring out how to bind my key for the Yaw Pitch and roll. When attempting to use the joy stick to manevor it doesn't seem to be registering it. I have tried using both the trigger and the grip the "grab" The joystick and rotate it appropriately to bind the key but it doesn't seem to work. I might just be having some difficulty understanding how to bind it. Once i figure out this the rest of it will be easy as they are just button bindings.
Enable menu mode and edit mode together. Control bindings should be done with the buttons on the panel. That'll give you all the controls (joystick, throttle, thruster, and galaxy map plus FSS on other pages).
I appreciate your help through all of this. I figured all that out now, only thing I am having problems with now is attempting to figure out how navigating the UI like switching from navigation to contacts ect..
For now for UI bind POVs on the joystick to the UI navigation and bind secondary or alt to prev or next. Then you can control the panels while holding the joystick.
