help with azure ad/ authentication

if i create a new blazor 8 web and try to add an app registration to use azure ad its broken. the tool leaves the app in a non building state and has not updated the code or the config in Jason.

but if i create a dot net 7 app that works. can someone please find out what they broke and fix it?
