[FEATURE REQUEST] RSS Import: Images not downloaded and links not replaced

Open norberteder opened this issue 5 months ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug RSS Import does not correctly import images.

To Reproduce Just import e.g. from a WordPress site having posts with at least one image.

Expected behavior When importing an RSS feed I would expect images to get downloaded and img sources to be replaced. This does not happen. Images still refer to the import-source.

Screenshots/Errors

HTMLy Version 3.0.9

Server Info (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Linux Mint 22.1
  • Webserver nginx 1.29.0

Hi,

Currently, when we import RSS, it does not download images and existing links are not replaced. So, this is a limitation, not a bug.

The RSS import feature is still very basic and needs further development. In the future, it should also be able to import XML files (e.g., WP backup files), etc. but no ETA.
