Enhancement: Mobile UX - Close left/right sidebars when you tap away from them

What features would you like to see added?

On mobile, when the user taps 'away' from an opened sidebar (left or right), it should close.

Currently to close the left sidebar, you have to tap 'new chat' or tap on a chat. And to close the right sidebar you have to tap the 'hide sidebar' button. They're technically fine, and do the job. But from a UX perspective, it feels much more intuitive to have the sidebars close just by clicking away from them.
