Crop tool does not update EXIF data

I uploaded:

as a 4,000 x 3,000 image, then used CropTool to remove extraneous detail from two edges. The replacement image is 3,363 × 2,522 pixels.

However, the EXIF still says:

Width 4,000 px Height 3,000 px

The "File change date and time" is also unaltered.

EXIF should be updated when an image is changed. The updated EXIF should record that CropTool was used.
