Discussion about new contributors, status of yas3fs
Hi all
@danilop, I was added as a contributor on this project along w/ @ewah a long while back but I am no longer able to effectively contribute, review PRs, or participate etc
I do however get notifications and notice a ton of issues being opened, outstanding PR's etc. I'd like to throw out the idea that @danilop add some additional users as contributors so this project does not end up dying due to lack of integrated PR's, releases and bugfixes etc.
There has not been a release in over a year
I'd suggest adding some folks who have contributed recent PRs, perhaps they would have interest?
@dacut @ruffle-b @Liath
@bilts
I'd have to get this approved with my employer first (I work for AWS, but yas3fs is a purely personal interest), but assuming that goes through, I'd be glad to contribute here.
I'd be happy to help with the stewardship of the project.
This is a great idea! I am being slow even in just participating to this discussion.
Is everybody ok if I add this new 4 contributors?
@dacut @ruffle-b @Liath @bilts
Good by me. Thanks!
all for it +1
Did this take place? I did get approval on my end, so that should be squared away. Thanks, and happy new year!
I just added them - I think they need to accept:

Welcome to the project and shame on me for being so slow!
Got it now. Thanks!
It's great to see some fresh activity on this project!
It would be a huge shame if this project were to die. It has some killer features which just don't exist in alternative tools – e.g. multi-node awareness via SQS/SNS.
Thanks to all contributors past & present for their work on this.
Guys, we've got plenty of contributors but there're still opened PRs and issues. Any chances to get the PRs reviewed and merged at least? I completely agree with @ollietreend - the project is awesome and it's really pity it's not developing anymore.
I'd add u as a member but only @danilop can do that, and I don't have any time for this project.
Unless @danilop responds, you might just want to fork it along with other interested parties and create a new official version in another project, complete w/ releases, new builds etc.
Hi @jazzl0ver, thank you for your feedback! You are now a collaborator for this project.
Hi @danilop Thanks for the invitation!
@danilop what is the best way to update https://pypi.org/project/yas3fs/ ?
