I currently use H2A for my class notes, which sometimes look something like this:

鼓励 gu3li4 encourage   v./ n.
成本 cost/ expense    n.

It should be possible to use the pinyin provided to disambiguate when a word has multiple meanings (probably mostly useful for single chars)

possible formats:

汉子（han4zi4)
汉子=hanzi
汉子     hanzi

etc with different punctuation/whitespace etc
