ld: warning: directory not found for option

I get this error when I run go build

ld: warning: directory not found for option '-L/usr/local/Cellar/libusb/1.0.23/lib'

I'm having a difficult time figuring out how to update the build settings to look for the libusb version i have 1.0.24 (most recent version)
