Correct the configuration to define alias in the shell

In the configuration of the shell alias, the command is not working. I have

• changed the position of single quotation marks
• changed fabric="/the/path/to/fabric/client" to fabric="/the/path/to/fabric/client/fabric"
• changed .bashrc to ~/.bashrc
