the DLL file is flagged 4 times in virustotal as malicious and Malware by Bkav Pro, SecureAge, SentinelOne (Static ML) and Cynet... can anyone tell if its ligit or just a scam?
OMFG, If I were daniel i would just delete the repo and do not try to do anything that assembles a game cheat. As you know, this software modifies the game so it can run non-intended codes in the game itself. SO THATS WHY ANTIVIRUSES SEES THEM AS A VIRUS. DO A BASIC MENTAL GYNMNASTIC TO ACHIEVE THIS KINDA RESULTS IN YOUR MIND, BTW EVEN IF IT WAS A VIRUS, YOU COULD SEE THE CODE AND BUILD IT YOURSELF, SO TRY TO LEARN HOW COMPUTERS WORK BEFORE ASKING STUPID QUESTIONS

"chatgpt is a good source" is something i can expect from someone shows a virustotal and wants an explanation. you should never use chatgpt as a source for something, referance maybe but no, not as a source
i'm angry because you are stupid, this repo by itself has 3.5k stars and 1000 individual forks, which means it's a trusted source (BTW It could be not, but you should still can check the code itself and judge it yourself). You could research it or "ask to GPT" for explaination before writing to here, which is not a Q&A forum. This is a repository platform, if you don't know how to code or do not have any idea how all of this works, go somewhere else, people not going to spoonfeed info to you.
