When multiple *ev files are run through ev2mdot the outputs do not join up

I thought this used to be correct, that is that ev2mdot worked out if there was an overlap of subsequent *ev files, took this into account, and then calculated the mdot correctly across the join. Now it appears that when you put many *ev files in, the outputs do not join up any more.
