I got the same problem when I install word2vec by pip install word2vec.

OS: Windows 11 Python: 3.8.7 (venv)

The problem may be due to the lack of a GCC compiler. If you're using windows, you can try reinstalling word2vec after installing MinGW, and the problem might be solved.
