Character alternatives

Right now the keyboard only supports standard ASCII characters. I'd like to add a way to type special letters like Á À Ă Å Ä.

The idea would be to implement a long press on certain letters to popup a menu allowing to select variants of the letters. Similar to keyboards on mobile devices.
