I had to go there once on my first day to retrieve my hardware - it was a lot! I had to take extra bags.

Most colleagues go to the office voluntarily, but as long as you immediately communicate that you'll work 100% remote it's perfectly fine.

Several optional meetings (Betriebsversammlung for example) are on-prem, but those can be safely ignored.

I was invited to several on-prem meetings by colleagues from other departments (safety meetings mostly), but I was able to easily cancel those.

All in all, a solid experience so far. The factory is very much office-first, but 100% remote work is accepted.
