Default value for symbol argument

When creating a new symbol is there a way to add a default value that is editable. For example for the exp symbol where we have 2 arguments (latex: {{$1}}^{{$2}} ). Is it possible to set the default value for the superscript (argument 2) to 3? Instead of hardcoding as ({{$1}}^{3}).
