checking updates fails due to apt-key

Running the install-debian script fails when "checking for updates" with: "Unknown error executing apt-key" for all 3 debian repositories ... be they Buster or Bullseye. Do they need updated keys in /etc/apt/ now that Bullseye is Stable?
