Consider making a new release?

I've packaged up the current release as an rpm which seems to be from before the rename. I'd like to package up the latest work and publish it on Fedora COPR. I could do this with just a git checkout, but a release seems nicer.

I think that's reasonable. There's some experimental code in main, but I've been using it for over a year now, so I think it's safe to call it stable.
