When I open a link for fxtwitter.com, it opens in Chrome instead of in the app.

It works on iOS but not on Android. Was this working recently until now? I've changed nothing about the way we've handled it for quite a while. Maybe Twitter had an update that broke deeplinking from the browser? Doesn't seem to matter whether you click on fxtwitter.com, vxtwitter.com, twitter.com or even x.com, it just won't deep link to the app anymore.

I can confirm this has been an issue since January too, still on to this day.

if you're referring to opening from Discord, this seems to be an issue with Discord itself since version 211.11. I have downgraded to version 210.10 of Discord, which is the last version that doesn't break like this

fxtwitter is not shown as a support link in the "support web addresses" on samsung which is why it's not opening in the app when clicking a link from discord

it never has been on any phone, but it still worked before Discord version 211.11. If you sideload version 210.10 but keep your twitter up to date, pressing the link on discord will open a temporary browser tab, to then directly open the twitter app.

Discord has made some changes that broke this alongside opening links in the default app. Sometime after they broke it, I installed a custom ROM on my phone both to have something new and to see if it fixes this. Instead, Discord broke further. The ROM has ViMusic which supports youtube links pre-installed. I turned off opening that specific app for supported links, but it still does when clicking youtube links through Discord specifically, while other apps open the youtube app
