Request to combine direct media view and gallery view for FxTwitter
As of now, direct media view only uploads the first image in a tweet. Ideally, I’d like it to upload all images, but if that’s not possible, then an option to directly upload the generated combined image in gallery view is also fine.
I run a server where users are sharing a lot of art tweets. Sometimes when I backread on these shared links, I find several where the original tweet has been deleted, and so the image no longer shows up in the embed. It would be nice to be able to keep a backup of these images
We don't actually save images on our end, both for privacy and cost-related reasons, i could make it so direct media redirects to the combined image mosaic, while we do try to cache it for a while, it is possible it can still be removed from the cache if Discord decides to refetch it, it's deleted and no longer on the Twitter CDN. Naturally fxtwitter just isn't designed to be a permanent backup, so if that's a concern you might want a bit more of a permanent solution that involves actually downloading the media. If you know how to code we have an API that makes it really easy to pull data about a given tweet.
