Just a thought: Have a way to enable/disable displaying the numbering on the atoms in a compound.

I take it that this depends on the Indigo toolkit?

Yes, OPSIN converts the chemical name to a structure, then the Indigo toolkit converts this to a depiction. Source code for the web service is here: https://bitbucket.org/dan2097/opsin-ws
