I noticed that the space following \begin{seriate} is larger than the standard spacing in the rest of the document. This creates a slight inconsistency in the layout.

A potential fix for this issue is to modify the \endseriate command as follows:

\renewcommand{\endseriate}{\unskip\endgroup\@esphack}

This adjustment removes the extra space while maintaining the intended functionality.
