Bug: play video in immediate view

What happens

When someone posts a YouTube video link, I see a preview thumbnail with a play button.

I expect that hitting the play button should play the video, but it doesn’t.

Instead it takes me to a page showing the post I was already looking at, and makes me click the thumbnail (again) and the play button (again).

Could this be made more “streamlined” such that it just works the first time?
