failure running a container

where trying to spin a container using the command provided in docs: sudo docker run -i -t daly/axiom axiom i get: personality change failure 1 docker version: Docker version 19.03.13, build 4484c46d9d

I encounter personality change failure 38 when running the command with podman rather than docker.
