Windows terminal bugging on debian while not root

Open kubeden opened this issue 3 years ago • 5 comments

Hey! Loving what you are doing with this project. I got an issue in Windows Terminal and I will try to summarize it:

Summary of the bug

When using Windows Terminal with Debian 10 and while not being the root user, I get parts of the text overly-highlighted: image

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Windows Terminal
  2. Set the theme to aura-theme (following the instructions)
  3. Open Debian 10 as a user other than root
  4. type cd /mnt/c/Users/your_user
  5. type ls -la command

Hi @asciiden , thanks for reporting this issue. As soon as possible, I'll take a look on this. 💜

Same here with Ubuntu. I changed the blue value to match the black value for now.

Hm... doesn't seem this can be fixed due to Windows Terminal colors not catching the transparency values :(

Might as well push the blue -> black change as @fischgeek mentioned. It does work and it looks fine enough.

@fischgeek @asciiden There's any issue after all this time using with the blue to black color change?

Not that I have encountered. Been running happily with the change locally.
