Sidecar not working.

I just updated to Catalina and i can't get sidecar to work. i tries wireless and wired but it just doesn't see my ipad (2018, 9.7 inch) as a device. any suggestions?

The sidecar only can work on the USB-C to USB adapter（UGREEN ) on my computer. if you have a adapter ,you can try it.

I'm also trying it without success. (ipad pro 9.7 and mi notebook pro with latest catalina) I tried it with and usb-c to usb adapter that I have from a samsung phone (works with USB sticks on the hackintosh) but didn't have success there either. What is the issue here?
