I am getting the error "searchmark has crashed" every few hours when I have it enabled. Any hints on troubleshooting?

Sorry I haven't kept SearchMark up to date with the latest versions of chrome. The developer console is the only way to check for errors in extensions. If you click on the Tools->Extensions menu item and under SearchMark, click the URL listed after "Inspect views:". Keep the popped up window open until SearchMark crashes again, this might spit out an error at the time the extension crashes.

I will try my best to debug this soon and update the version when I find the problem.

Hi Daku, Ive just tried to install SearchMark and Chrome returned the following error message: "Failed to load extension from: ~/Downloads/programs/SearchMark-master The 'manifest_version' key must be present and set to 2 (without quotes). See developer.chrome.com/extensions/manifestVersion.html for details."

How can I fix this?

Thanks a lot. The description of SearchMark sounds like a dream come true...

@norega I have actually updated SearchMark to work with newer versions of Chrome. I keep a lot of bookmarks and this extension is pretty awesome. I am surprised there's not more demand for something like this.

@daku do you mind giving me permissions to push a feature branch? if not, I can fork and create a pull request.

Sure. I don't have the bandwidth to maintain, but would love any contributions.

Sure. I'll do that. Thank you for your contribution and for liking the extension.
