Though the application overall is stable and usable, it should not be considered safe for critically important work. There are numerous bugs and half working implementations.

Sorry, I'm sorry for my bias. Other media reported that NotepadNext was maintained by Chinese people. I think NotepadNext needs to satisfy some user pain points to achieve similar functions as Notepad++. The first step is to achieve a usable state. Otherwise, it will be easily replaced by Notepad++.

I've been using it for years with minimal issues. If someone feels Notepad++ is a better fit for their needs then that is perfectly fine.

This is very much a known issue and agree it would be nice to have. There is a ton of configuration changes that need added to the application

I've got some code changes I can submit soon to fix this.
Regarding the function of finding and marking, when searching, keywords can be marked with different colors.
Issue #676 pretty much covers this as having the 'mark' tab in the find dialog would allow for marking and bookmarking results.
I'll be closing this soon when I push code for the one fix. The others are longer term things that need added but dont like having an issue open depending on so many features.
