[Enhancement] Single pilot does not have mouse click bearing

Open Ownezx opened this issue 6 months ago • 6 comments

Problem,

Helmsman has a bearing indicator as they click their mouse, allowing them to precisely maneuver their ships. The single pilot position however does not.

Solution, Adding the same baring components to the single pilot would allow for precision bearing selection.

The single pilot position however does not.

Tactical doesn't either. I am not sure if that omission is intentional (maybe because the radar is busier), but I think that single pilot and tactical should either both have that indicator or neither of them.

I proposed an alternative for this in #2380, the most precise bearing could be in the side text and an aproximate one on the radar screen?

~~retracted for outdated inaccuracy~~

If they were there because of no radar indicator, would it make sense for it to be removed now? (Or faded out as an option)

Single pilot and tactical both target weapons and change heading upon radar tap/click

Not both at the same time anymore.

You mean the rotation lock? If so, it was definitely not added just because of a missing indicator. That would have been quite insane, considering what a huge effort the addition of that feature was. Pretty sure the much better readability for weapons was one of the main reasons.

Maybe just adding it as a setting for all station would be the way to go?
