Scenario Surf's Up
A scenario similar to Waves with some additions:
- Mini missions to improve station services by providing goods
- Random variations in wave type
- Clear wave by hunting down enemy base, or they'll keep coming
- Clear wave by hunting down enemy base protected by defense platforms
- Enemies attack in formation, kill them all
- Normal wave, kill them all
- Randomly get an asteroid storm for a wave
- Configuration options
- May select an "older" player ship type at the start
- Player Cruiser
- Player Missile Cruiser
- Player Fighter
- Starting enemy ship strength: Easy, Normal (the default), Hard, Extreme, Quixotic
- Pace (the speed of the enemy ships): 10% - 50% faster
- May select an "older" player ship type at the start
- May interact with transports to get goods for the mini missions
- Use scenario utilities:
- Stations use selections from the place stations utility
- Player ships get named from a pool of random ship names
- CPU ships are named using the generate call sign
- CPU ship diversification utility used for additional CPU ships
- Some CPU ships drop warp jammers. Some warp jammers have additional adverse qualities
- Piranha F12 - warp jammer field damages player beam systems
- Farco 11 - plain warp jammer
- Ranus U - warp jammer field damages player beam systems
- Stalker Q7 - warp jammer field damages player missile systems
- Stalker R7 - warp jammer field damages player missile systems
- Cucaracha - plain warp jammer
- Atlantis Y42 - plain warp jammer
- Starhammer V - plain warp jammer
- Service availability divided between starting stations giving more incentive to protect the stations during the scenario
- Player ship name banner on stations to facilitate more than one player ship participating
- GM button to end the scenario early (appears after the scenario runs for 15 minutes)
- Warning message to players
- 30 second countdown timer added to some consoles
- Odin spawned near friendly station(s) after timer countdown is complete
- Station information added to science database once the station has been contacted
- Closing screen with mission statistics:
- number of completed waves and the enemy difficulty setting
- number of player ships deployed during the mission
- duration of the mission
- the advance wave setting (if any)
- the pace setting (if not normal)
