Maximum length is forced on note/ task creation

When creating a new note/ task there seems to be a maximum length set. And there is no multi-line support. Why does these behaviors exist ? Is this a design choice ? And is there a way to disable it ?

Thank you for using Agenda! This has been one of the most talked about issues in the app (#118, #95, #74, #119), and I do have plans to fix it hopefully on the next release.

When I first made the app back in 2014, I thought having a character limit would help encourage users to keep their tasks clear and concise. It was also a way of ignoring the lack of multiline support. I have since decided that the concept was not very well fleshed out.

I might keep the character limit, but extend it to ~500 and make it evident to the user when they are approaching the limit. My goal is not to hinder the user, but strike a balance between simplicity and productivity. This is going to require a GUI rewrite, which might take a while as I work on it in my free time.
