Need two entities - one for heating, one for cooling

I can't figure out how to setup the AC mode, since I have a separate relay for heating and cooling, but there's only one entity_id being considered, namely "heater".

Ideally there should be another entity called "cooler" (?), and all temperature settings should allow for a lower and an upper range. If it drops below the lower temp, it heats, if the temperature rises above the upper limit, it cools.

An alternate approach could be to allow an entity to be switched when the mode is manually changed like it seems you can do in awesome_thermostat (i.e. the heater entity controls on/off and the mode entity controls whether the heater entity affects my heater relay or my AC relay).

Also, the ac_mode and initial_hvac_mode are not described in the manual, so maybe there is a way for me to replace a 5-wire thermostat, and I just haven't figured out how to do it. Thanks!
