The only file necessary is CMakeLists.txt.

  1. Make it ready to be dropped right into the source directory of libuv obtainable from https://github.com/libuv/libuv, and allow people to start a build using cmake right away.

  2. Make it possible to build and install libuv under a separate build directory that is not a subdirectory of the source directory.

  3. The gyp stuff in libuv seems a bunch of unnecessary nonsense (not a criticism to you, of course).
