Latest release is 0.5, but tag on git is 1.5

There seems to be a mismatch between the version in the source files (e.g. CHANGES) and the tag on github. Which is correct?

CHANGES says 0.5, the tag is 1,5

Considering changes from the commit tagged as 1.5 is present in the package installed via pip, I guess that's just a typo in the repo.
