License missing

The code is not provided with any kind of license, making it difficult to determine if these snippets can be used in a professional context.

The description is in the foreword.

Citing the source will be appreciated, e.g. "Python Cookbook, 3rd edition, by David Beazley and Brian K. Jones(O'Reilly). Copyright 2013 David Beazley and Brian Jones, 978-1-449-34037-7."

You need to ask for authoring only when using most of the content, selling the samples or distributing them by discs.

The mail address is [email protected].

I'll add my vote here for an explicit license file. Some of these recipes are used in Open Source projects (matplotlib for example), and it would be nice to know if these cookbook recipes are "kosher" for inclusion.

The O'Reilly Fair Use License would be a nice start.
