set hidden opens extra no name buffer on startup

Describe the bug Content of .config/nvim/init.vim as follows

set hidden

Then open any file and do :ls, one can see two buffers, one of the opened file and one empty

I'm also affected by this. If I erase set hidden from my config, the problem goes away, so it is that option that causes the bug.
