Can this be achieved by using the storage analyzer, finding the directory to exclude, then long press -> exclude? Or alternatively create a segment exclusion and hand type the foldername...

Can you record a debug log of this on your device? What ROM is it? Theoretically SD Maid should already be able to handle this and try to scroll screens...

Not a bug, just not implemented. These are locations are currently not supported because of how complicated they are setup by various Android ROMs. Storage Analyzer does not directly browse...
This should already be the case, that notifications (that stick around) are only shown if something is found. Do you maybe mean the progress notifications when the corpsefinder is working?...
