FEATURE REQUEST disable recent files

its annoying if i right click the icon to see recently files that arent even accesible cuz they came from a usb stick and it needlessly fills up the right click menu

i just want a option to disable this feature all together i tried in the config file but this isnt very clear and i can only delete the last opened image that isnt helpful
