Changes for compatibility with python3 and django2

Like the previous pr, this adds Django 2 and Python 3 support. The migration is just one now and there are a few corrections and updates on docs, version and authors.

Feel free to roll with it. I had a quick look over, this change looks good! You should feel free to merge it as you see fit. I added you as an admin on the repo and an owner on the PyPI package.

Let me know if there is anything else you need for me. It is nice to see some new life come into such an old project 😄

If you want to use your repo as the canonical source for the project I'd suggest updating the README here to direct people there.
