Cursor Stability

The CE Street,Lot, and Block tool kits have some cursor ability issues. While a nested try statement has dealt with the update cursor instability for the street and lot tools, the Block tools will miss a record about every 300 iterations. What is strange is that the read & write method with the block tool script should theoretically be more stable. I am considering just creating a point feature class and using points to line to create the desired feature classes. Ideas would be appreciated.
