Sorry, I need some more info. Does a terminal window open? What is in it? Is there another error message somewhere? Which Python, VSCode, RobotFramework version are you using?
@DanielPenning This error only occurs if you are using python 3.8, but this is allready fixed in RobotCode version 0.83.0, try the new version ;-) You should think about updating...
