I can't see the menu on #!

I followed the instructions and I found the following issues in the doc

1. The file is rc.xml, is not rc.conf
2. The menu file reference is kali_menu.xml, is not menu_kali.xml
3. We should update the README to show the steps for #! users

In regards to the menu, I can't see any of the options. Do you have any hint?

I fixed 1 and 2. What are the steps for #! users?

Replace kali_menu.xml by kali_menu-no_icons.xml after execute cat kali_menu.xml | sed 's/\sicon=".*"//g' > kali_menu-no_icons.xml

Do you have any idea why I can't still facing the same issue?

Does it work with the kali_menu.xml (with icons) ? I currently don't have a linux box around (on a Mac right now). Can you check my dotfiles for the configuration in order to figure out what might be missing: https://github.com/cytopia/dotfiles/tree/master/openbox

Does not work with the kali_menu.xml either. That's why I figured out the issue with the file name and references on the config files.

@cytopia I've was not able to continue dig into this issue, I moved forward and just switch to a Gnome 2-like desktop, I will get back to open box as soon as i have time. Did you find something else around this issue?
